When to use it

Generate UUID v4 or time-ordered v7 values, or inspect an existing UUID. Choose a valid batch count from 1 to 100.

Before you export

v4 uses secure randomness; v7 includes a timestamp and sorts by time. Neither is a password or secret access token. Invalid counts are rejected, not clamped.

  2. Run the action and review errors, warnings or validation details.

Questions about this tool

What does the UUID validator check?

It checks the canonical shape, variant and version, including Nil and Max. For v7 it reports the embedded time; that does not prove when a remote system really created it.
